Yen Bai hosts "Tet Sum Vay – Spring of Gratitude to the Party" in 2025

On January 16, the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation organized the 2025 "Tet Sum Vay" program under the theme “Tet Sum Vay – Spring of Gratitude to the Party,” aiming to encourage, support, and care for union members and workers in Luc Yen District.
The event was attended by Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, representatives from the Provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and 150 union members and workers, representing nearly 4,000 union members and employees from companies, businesses, and grassroots unions in Luc Yen District.
In 2024, Yen Bai's labor unions demonstrated significant innovation in their activities. Nationwide patriotic emulation movements and campaigns were widely implemented, drawing strong participation from union members and workers. These initiatives highlighted the unions' role in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, contributing to economic development, ensuring social welfare, and strengthening national defense and security in the province.

Representatives from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor provided support and gifts to workers in challenging situations within Yen Bai Province. 
Notably, during Typhoon No. 3, the unions proactively mobilized resources, successfully raising, receiving, and distributing aid to affected individuals. They provided timely support to 9,600 union members and workers with a total of 12.3 billion VND and distributed hundreds of tons of essential goods to union members, workers, and residents in hardship. These efforts helped stabilize livelihoods, enabling workers and residents to return to production and daily life while supporting provincial authorities in restoring socio-economic activities.
In preparation for the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tet At Ty), Yen Bai Province has prioritized ensuring that all union members and workers can celebrate Tet. With financial support of over 3.6 billion VND from the provincial budget and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation has been actively caring for, visiting, and encouraging union members and workers. Additionally, provincial labor unions, in collaboration with professional organizations and benefactors, have raised nearly 2.5 billion VND to provide gifts and support to over 5,000 workers.

The "Tet Sum Vay – Spring of Gratitude to the Party" program is part of a series of deeply meaningful and practical activities aimed at enhancing the material and spiritual well-being of union members and workers. Organized during the nation's traditional Tet celebration, the program underscores the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor’s commitment to union members’ welfare. It ensures that every worker enjoys a safe, joyful, and prosperous Tet. Following the provincial program, local labor unions will continue to implement additional initiatives to care for and support workers, spreading goodwill and ensuring that no one is left without a Tet celebration.
Amid the warm and festive atmosphere heralding the new spring, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan, along with provincial leaders and the delegation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, visited and extended Tet greetings to workers at companies and enterprises in Luc Yen District immediately following the ceremony.
