Applying Artificial Intelligence in Daily Life

In the context of deepening digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key technology, opening up new ways of working and supporting people across various essential fields. Recognizing the benefits that this technology offers, Yen Bai Province has encouraged government officials, civil servants, public employees, workers, and businesses to apply AI in their professional tasks and business operations. This move is considered a crucial step for Yen Bai to seize the opportunities brought by the technological revolution and gradually achieve comprehensive digital transformation.
Understanding the importance of AI, localities across the province have recently organized AI training courses for technical staff, district-level department heads, and key commune and township officials to enhance their knowledge and skills in AI. These efforts aim to lay the groundwork for effective AI integration into public administration and management. It is also a key step toward building a workforce equipped with information technology and digital transformation capabilities, contributing to better performance in administrative, economic, and social management, and improving the efficiency of state agencies.
Ms. Phung Thi Thu Huong, from the Department of Culture, Science, and Information in Luc Yen District, shared: "Through the training course, we developed critical thinking and learned how to use AI tools purposefully. We explored both opportunities and challenges in using AI. We have since applied the knowledge gained into our work and found it highly beneficial.”
Acknowledging the importance of proactively mastering and effectively applying AI in modern journalism, the Yen Bai Journalists’ Association has recently cooperated with the Center for Journalism Training under the Vietnam Journalists Association to launch a training course on applying AI in digital video production. During the course, lecturers introduced participants - journalists and communicators in the province—to various AI applications in video production, including script creation with ChatGPT, ethical considerations and journalistic responsibilities when using AI, digital platforms, and how AI optimizes video content in online environments. Participants also practiced using AI to optimize videos for digital platforms.
Mr. Duong Hoai Van, a reporter at Yen Bai Newspaper, said: "Through the AI training course, I gained new knowledge and enhanced my skills in applying AI in multimedia journalism, as well as in editing and producing digital content for social media platforms. We also had hands-on practice using AI tools for automatic writing, news summarization, image generation, breaking news writing, analytical articles, and translation—all aimed at streamlining our workflow.”
Beyond public administration, businesses in Yen Bai are also incorporating AI into their operations, especially in marketing and market expansion. Nasaki Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a standout example. To ensure product quality that meets strict export standards, the company has adopted an advanced Japanese green technology production line. It currently produces five main tile product lines, with an annual output of approximately 5.5 million units. The company has also signed export contracts with partners in Cambodia and Malaysia. "One of the key strategies that helped us expand into international markets is the use of AI in product promotion, which enables us to better understand consumer behavior and offer tailored recommendations for each customer segment,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Khuyen, Director of Nasaki Vietnam Co., Ltd., in Yen Bai City.
The application of digital platforms and AI has transformed management and operational methods, improved the effectiveness of state administration, and shortened the time required for advisory and decision-making processes by civil servants. It has also boosted production efficiency, business performance, and the competitiveness of enterprises. The development of AI not only presents great opportunities but also demands urgent adjustments in how people adapt to and manage these technologies. However, alongside the benefits, experts also warn of the importance of avoiding the sharing of sensitive information with AI and stress the need for clear user guidelines. The goal is to ensure that people remain in control of AI - leveraging its power to serve work and life, rather than being led by it.
